Midlothian, VA – November 7, 2013 – During the month of November, Steven Casupanan and SCE Solutions will be donating ALL profits to the Colorado Fund for Muscular Dystrophy (CFMD). Casupanan’s goal is to raise at least $800 to sponsor and send a child to the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s Summer Camp. This special promotion is in honor of Aileen Colorado’s birthday, which is today, Thursday, November 7th.
The Colorado Fund for Muscular Dystrophy (CFMD) was established in honor of Aileen D. Colorado, who passed away from complications of pneumonia in May 2011. Founded in memory of Aileen DeCastro Colorado, the Colorado Fund for Muscular Dystrophy’s mission is to increase quality of life for persons with muscular dystrophy. We provide financial assistance for activities, educational programs, events, and technology that support, or lead to the support, of persons with muscular dystrophy and their families. Although the Colorado Fund for Muscular Dystrophy is still awaiting their status as a 501(c)(3) Non-profit Organization. They are moving forward with their mission by raising funds for their first initiative – to sponsor and send a child to the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s (MDA) Summer camp.
The Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) is the world’s leading nonprofit health agency dedicated to finding treatments and cures for muscular dystrophy, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and other neuromuscular diseases. Since 1955, MDA has built bridges and knocked down barriers for youngsters with muscular dystrophy and related neuromuscular diseases by providing an unforgettable week at MDA summer camp.
Steven Casupanan, is Vice President and Treasurer of the Colorado Fund for Muscular Dystrophy. Aileen was a dear friend and they spent much time together when Steven drove Aileen to and from work on a daily basis. Casupanan is the owner of a successful health and wellness business, SCE Solutions, and this month, in honor of Aileen’s birthday, he is donating ALL of his November profit towards CFMD. “Happy Birthday, A!! Man, I miss our adventures on the way home from work,” Casupanan said.
