The CFMD race planning committee is back at work again to host Race ‘n’ Roll 5K and 1M Fun Run 2017 on August 12, 2017. This charity race will take place the morning of the Filipino Festival at the fairgrounds of Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Come join us for a morning of fun, prizes, food and supporting those living with muscular dystrophy in Virginia.
If you have participated in our race event in the past, please use code RETURNING17 for $5 off your registration price. CFMD will absorb the processing fees!
Proceeds from the race will go towards sponsoring a child to attend MDA summer camp in 2018 and awarding grants to individuals with muscular dystrophy who are in need of financial assistance to pay for modifications, equipment or services to increase quality of life.
New to the race this year:
Top 3 male and female 5K finishers will receive a medal and a cash prize (VISA gift certificate)!
All 1M and 5K racers will be entered for a chance to win a door prize from our local sponsors.
The 1M Family Fun Run is open to everyone (children AND adults)
First event will start at 8AM instead of 9AM
All racers and volunteers will still receive a complimentary race t-shirt, festival voucher to be used at the Filipino Festival after the race, race swag bag, access to the food recovery tent, and of course, 2 Filipino egg rolls (lumpia) at the finish line!!
